How can beekeepers and their honeybees contribute to the fight against biodiversity loss? This question is central to the brochure "Beekeeping for the Future."

The role of bees cannot be underestimated. Bees, along with various other pollinators, provide us with pollination and thus 75 to 80% of our food. But a centuries-old heritage practice like beekeeping has a broader impact than just pollination. By nurturing their bees, beekeepers also care for their environment. Planting nectar plants provides the area with more greenery and, above all, food for honeybees and other pollinators. Moreover, beekeepers play an important role in signaling the situation. If honeybees are doing poorly, it means that other insects are also threatened.
